The quarter finals of the US Open were quite topsy-turvy with the variety of matches that took place. The woman's draw witnessed a clash between Amanda Anisimova and Iga Świątek. The match turned out to be quite unexpected as Amanda crashed Świątek with a commendable victory of 6-4, 6-3. This was like a redemption arc for Amanda, as a few months back, she lost badly against Świątek in Wimbledon. She was really happy and said in the post-match interview, “To come back like that from Wimbledon is special to me,” she said. “I proved that I can do it."

In another match, Naomi Osaka had her own day with Karolína Muchová. There was buzzing tension between both, but Naomi and her patience prevailed with a  6-4, 7-6(7-3) comeback. She got emotional at the press conference, It feels amazing just to be back on this stage, fighting in big moments." This is not the end of the scene, as the men's singles are still left. Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic were also in their usual forms, and two spectacular matches at Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong respectively.

Felix Auger-Aliassime left no stone unturned during his encounter at Flushing Meadows. The match lasted for almost four hours, and he ended the sets with  4-6, 7-6(9-7), 7-5, 7-6(7-4) against heavyweight Alex de Minaur. Minaur was quite disappointed with his performance, and he expressed that “It hurts. I had my chances, especially in that breaker, and I didn’t take them." The overarching performances across the quarter finals made the matches quite entertaining. The audience was confused as to which match to attend and which one to leave, as there were so many blockbuster encounters awaiting them. The legacy and standing of the US Open 2025 stand still with the semi-finals decked up and the nets awaiting the clashes amongst the superstars.
