Celebrity couple Nicole Kidman and Kevin Keirh have separated after nearly 20 years of marriage. A report by TMZ claims that the estranged couple has been living separately since the beginning of the summer.

 A source tells PEOPLE: "Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

 A source close to the couple has confirmed that Kidman doesn’t "want this" (the separation) and that she's been "fighting to save the marriage."

The couple's whirlwind romance began back in 2005, when Grammy-winning singer Keith Urban caught the eye of Oscar-winning starlet Nicole Kidman at the G'Day LA Gala. While their connection wasn't instantaneous, the couple grew to love each other and tied the knot in 2006, just after a year of dating. Kidman and Urban share two children together, daughters Sydney Rose and Faith Margaret.

The news has come as a surprise for fans and to the tinsel town alike, considering just recently Kidman posted a heartfelt Instagram post marking her 19th wedding anniversary with Keith.

Rumours of their separation have been making the rounds for quite a while on the internet. However, Kidman has rebuked those allegations, instead placing emphasis on her family and how they've supported her through thick and thin. In April 2024, Kidman told PEOPLE about her "lovely" family support system, saying at the time, "I'm so lucky that I have Keith, who's just my love, my deep, deep love. That gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back to."

Nicole Kidman was previously married to Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise. The couple's marriage lasted for 11 years, and they divorced in February of 2001.
