India is the undefeated champion! History has been made at the Dubai International Stadium. India becomes the undefeated champions of the Asia Cup 2025. The game was nothing short of panic, anxiety, and hair-clutching moments. With Pakistan putting forward their best bowling attack and India’s top order falling prey to it, the thriller ensured fans were glued to their seats, with their hearts pounding and prayers being chanted with every ball.
India Bowling: Bowling Masterclass by Indian Bowlers
Under the intense pressure of the 2025 Asia Cup finals, India’s bowlers managed to pull off a masterclass for the Pakistan batting lineup. Along with the opening duo, Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman, the audience was also taken by surprise when Shivam Dubey came in place of Hardik Pandya. The change in the bowling lineup created visible confusion among the batters. Shivam Dubey, with his pace, kept the first over tight, not letting the batters achieve their desired momentum.
The Indian bowlers focused on keeping the bowling tight, while the fielders concentrated on avoiding the fumbles that haunted them in the previous match. By the end of the powerplay, Pakistan managed to get a score of 45 without the loss of wickets; the confidence among the Pakistan fans went up when Farhaan celebrated his half-century. But the celebration lived short when Varun Chakravarthy decided to show what his magical spin could do. With Chakravarthy’s splendid spin and Tilak Varma’s safe hands catching the ball, Farhaan had no option but to walk back.
The skipper also decided to give an over to Varma to bring some variation on the field and break the momentum of the batters on the crease. Varma managed to guard his innings by not giving up many runs. With Pakistan’s momentum already taking a hit, Kuldeep Yadav decided to take it forward on the bails. Yadav took complete advantage of Saim Ayub’s deterring confidence and took the wicket with ease. He didn’t stop there; he absolutely crushed batters in the middle and lower batting lineup by dismissing Salman Agha and Faheem Ashraf. Kuldeep Yadav literally hunted Shaheen Shah Afridi’s wicket when Afridi was initially given a not out in his over.
Axar Patel helped Yadav to break the middle and lower order as well by taking crucial wickets of Mohammad Harris and Hussain Talat. And when the team and audience believe in Bumrah, he never disappoints. When Pakistan was lying low in confidence and in the batting lineup, with his crushing yorker, Bumrah took the wicket of Haris Rauf. Bumrah was again handed over the last over, and he diligently took care of it, taking yet another wicket of Mohammad Nawaz and sending the entire lineup back to the pavilion with 146 all out.
India Batting: A Clutch Game by Tilak Varma to Remember
It is a known fact that in the second innings the pitch becomes favorable for batting in the Dubai International Stadium, but this time, it didn’t. The nightmare of Indian fans came true when Abhishek Sharma fell prey to the law of averages. The game heavily relied on the openers, but the opener duo couldn’t sustain the strong bowling attack presented by Faheem Ashraf, with Sharma managing 5 runs while Gill departed with only 4. The skipper’s form was not helpful either; Suryakumar Yadav got out, merely scoring a run and sending the heartbeats of Indian fans off the roofs.
With India losing early wickets of its reliable openers and Hardik Pandya not in the batting lineup because of his injury, it certainly brought some relief to the opposition but broke a line of sweat for the Indian audience. There was immense pressure on the middle batting order of Team India. But the Mumbai Indians’ ‘Starboy’ came to the rescue of the team. Tilak Varma not only held his composure throughout the game but also turned into a nightmare for the Pakistan bowlers with his solid score of 69 runs. Partners kept changing at the other end, but Varma stood strong and, quite literally, dragged the victory from Pakistan. Tilak Varma once again proved why he is ranked the No. 3 T20I batter in the world.
Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube also contributed a substantial number of runs, bringing India close to its win. Sanju Samson smashed a total of 24 runs. Dubey, on the other hand, gave some huge sixes and fours, depositing 33 runs in India’s account. The final over got the audience on the edge of their seats when Dubey got caught out at a crucial moment. That's when Rinku Singh came into the picture and finished the game off in style by hitting a boundary. India won against Pakistan with a score of 150/5.
Undefeated Champions, Billions Rejoice
Pakistan gave a tough fight and did not disappoint with its performance either. With moments that felt unreal, Pakistan surely gave us a thriller. But India once again showed that when it enters the field, it enters with the intention of snatching away the win and nothing less. Today a story of strong resilience, fierce grit, and unshakeable belief is etched under the name of the Indian Cricket Team. Back at home with billions of hearts already won, the shining silverware is just icing on the cake.
