Apollo Tyres has been officially announced as the new jersey sponsor for the Indian cricket team in a landmark deal worth ₹579.06 crore. The partnership will run until 2027 and includes both bilateral matches and ICC tournaments.
Apollo Tyres will pay an average of ₹4.5 crore per bilateral game and ₹1.72 crore per ICC match, surpassing the previous sponsorship arrangement with Dream11. The latter ended its association after the government enacted the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, which prohibits real-money gaming platforms from sponsoring sports teams.
The BCCI conducted a competitive bidding process, and Apollo Tyres emerged as the highest bidder, outpacing Canva, which offered ₹544 crore, and JK Cement at ₹477 crore. Birla Optus Paints had shown interest but did not participate in the formal bidding.
This sponsorship provides Apollo Tyres with major visibility on both national and international stages. The Indian cricket team, currently competing in the Asia Cup 2025, will soon feature the Apollo Tyres logo on their jerseys, marking a new chapter in the team’s commercial partnerships.
